New Swap Shop

Ballynacally Tidy Towns with assistance from Clare County Council are setting up a Swap Shop/Community Outlet in the vacant yellow cottage in the village. This pilot initiative is aimed at reducing waste and providing an outlet for used unwanted items.swop shop There will be white boards installed inside the cottage where locals can write up details of items they wish to swap or sell or indeed items they want/require together with contact details i.e. telephone numbers. The cottage will be open to the public on 2/3 days per week (to be decided). If you wish to avail of this service you can call in and write up details of your item or visit the cottage to see what is on offer that you might like to swap or buy. A list of the items will also be on our facebook page (but without contact details). No items will be left in the cottage but it will be a centre where items/produce can be passed on. Any item/produce can be listed for swap or sale, big or small, everybody has good used items they no longer need or indeed produce they may wish to sell and which others may need. It is hoped a list will build up over the coming weeks and for the moment the cottage will be open on Saturdays from 4 to 7 starting on 10th of June to list your items or contact any member of the Tidy Towns Group. This is a free service, please avail of it and call in and see what is on offer!
