Walk 2 ... The "Cake walk"
The 2nd in a series of walks termed the Cake walk went ahead as scheduled on Sunday 30th July. For those brave enough to tackle the showery conditions it was a worthwhile journey where most discovered a new route from Lisduff to Clondegad taking in an old forgotten lane-way that nature had all but reclaimed. Maretta O'Hehir treated all to a lovely ballad explaining the history of the area and there was two stations along the way with refreshments. After Dolores Meaney gave a historical account of Clondegad Graveyard the group headed off back by road to The Five Arches for a cup of tea and some "Cake". Well done and thanks so much to all who helped out and to all who supported... all profits going towards the village hall, see you at the next walk.....
