Walk 1 ... Entering Paradise
Ballynacally Development are planning a series of walks this summer to both fundraise and give people a pride of place in showing them the beauty of their area and its historic locations.
The first walk took place on Sun
day the 21st May and it guided walkers through the beautiful and unique Paradise Estate which overlooks the picturesque Shannon Estuary with its stunning views of the islands. Dolores Meaney gave a talk on the history of Paradise house and refreshments followed back in the community centre. Two finely decked out donkeys entertained the crowd also along the route. This walk raised €2400 in much needed capital to secure the hall into the future with rising maintenance and insurance costs.
